Day Four and the Reminder Notice

Last week, got called a

Nazi for endorsing peace

by means other than genocide.

Yep, that’s the poem.

Closer to home, in case you forgot, just 365 days from tomorrow, there’s a damn good chance that an election will be won by a candidate who actually hates Jews, Muslims, women, queer folk, Black folk, Asians, Spanish speakers, Democrats, all news outlets that call candidates out on their bullshit, defense attorneys, prosecuting attorneys, incarcerated people, the list goes on.

I mean, the only people the candidate doesn’t hate are people stupid enough to vote for him.

So, while our limited attention is elsewhere, consider this a reminder notice. I’m not going to tell you who to vote for.

Just don’t vote for a Nazi.

Talk to you tomorrow.

This is the “CHEER” Peppers….I really had hoped no one would turn it into a political forum. Love ya’ but not this.

Life is a political forum. Important to speak out – least we can do from here / there.

I agree. The unprecedented things going on right now are too important not to talk about.

It’s a fraught time, and very similar situation in UK too. Except the fascism of the current government is clearer to see every day. The opposition leader is iffy too so no idea who I’ll be voting for (it won’t be Tories of course, but Labour is currently a massive problem too). Wish both our governments had more than a two party system (we have more than one party but it’s always between the two current biggest), whole thing needs an overhaul. And honestly, we need to talk/understand government politics and social politics in a world that’s increasingly inhumane. Life is definitely a political forum as bodhisattvaintraining has said.

Blogging has always been about speaking our minds. Keep doing that. Cheer doesn’t have to mean happy. Cheer can mean support. Obviously, after being called a Nazi for promoting peace, you need our support. I support you!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people voted for folks who didn’t have hate in their hearts?

WordPress is driving me crazy. It often won’t let me like comments. My comments don’t show up and then when I re-do it there are 2 comments. It’s so annoying. I am logged in and it keeps making me re-log in. Anyway…we must never be silenced. Evil succeeds when good people do nothing. I know that’s not the original quote..I updated it for the times. 😉 Hang in there Mr. Friday. I had hoped the roller coaster would be over by now but I think there is still so much of the track that we cannot see.

In spirit, mostly, sweetheart. Just cheering our peppers on from the sidelines. I had to shut CardCastles down. Long story. Maybe I’ll do a guest post about it someday soon for one of our buddies here. Right now? Just enjoying being only a reader for once. 😎

That 4 letter N word is flung around like monkeys fling poo. The person who called you that can fuck right off. You aren’t the only one re genocide and neither am I. Someone had a picture holding a sign that asked, “Why am I being attacked because I oppose genocide?”

In the words of Smedley Butler, War is a Racket (sorry, I will stop soon).

I can guarantee that tptwtb would stop wringing their hands in glee if they were forced on the front lines. It won’t happen but it should.
