A world dies by its own hand.
Never sees it coming. Pushing
the plunger on a cartoon bomb.
A coyote, can’t feel the dynamite under
its own ass. Clutching an Acme anvil,
with nowhere to go but off the cliff.
Beep-beep.

Very powerful. A world is dying by its own hand and some people see it coming. Some bury their heads or think it’s a cartoon. The powers that want to be have to realize that they will die too, right or no?
I sometimes think that the world is getting ready to clear its throat and be done with us. It will wait some years and then say, “Next…” in a baritone voice.
